The Cataclysm comes to World of Warcraft… a second time

Despite its advanced age, World of Warcraft still continues to appeal to many players thanks to its regular updates and its enchanting universe. For those who think the game was better before, however, there is also a “Classic” version which gradually traces the history of Blizzard's MMORPG from its Vanilla version. After integrating The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King, it is now Cataclysm's turn to arrive in World of Warcraft Classic.

A server dedicated to the story preceding the events of Cataclysm will, however, be opened thanks to Season of Discovery. This server will be frozen in time and will only include old stories from the World of Warcraft Classic license.

Among the challenges offered by World of Warcraft and its “Classic” version, we of course find the achievements. An extremely long challenge that requires a lot of work, but which allows anyone who succeeds to display the title “ the Insane” over his head. Unfortunately, if you wanted to get it this way, soon it won't be possible. Indeed, Shen'dralar will no longer be available after the arrival of Cataclysm. To obtain this achievement, you will therefore have to reach the “Exalted” reputation level with Booty Bay, Everlook, Gadgetzan, Ratchet, Darkmoon Faire, Ravenholdt and even the Bloodsail Buccaneers.

Originally, players thought that the achievement was going to be removed from the game as the developers themselves announced on their blog post. However, mention of the latter was subsequently withdrawn. Everything therefore suggests that it will be well maintained in World of Warcraft Classic, but that it will suffer the same fate as on classic servers: namely the modification of the conditions of obtaining which we have just detailed above. If you still want to obtain this title after the arrival of Cataclysm, you will have to redouble your efforts with the Bloodsail Buccaneers, and everything you did with the Shen'dralar will no longer be of any use. A radical decision which will inevitably make people happy and unhappy, but which cannot really be avoided in view of the events implied by the arrival of Cataclysm.
