The Dark Side of Baldur's Gate III

Still at the top of video games after recently receiving a new shower of awards during the last BAFTA ceremony, Larian Studios is nonetheless still working on the gem Baldur's Gate III. The studio is currently preparing patch 7 which will offer, among other things, new cinematics dedicated to players who have taken the darkest paths of the game.

This new patch will therefore bring “improved evil endings” for “even more sinister conclusions” even for players who have not chosen the dark impulses origin. Thus, as the images shared in the studio's long post on Steam, players can obviously expect at least two more evil endings (including one that contains a terrible Berserk reference!). In addition, Larian also shared a new composition by Borislav Slavov specially designed for these new sequences.

A first step towards the future

With patch 7, Larian also wants to correct various bugs and implement new features, including official modding tools which will allow you to modify “visuals, animations, sounds, statistics, and more”. For the first time since the launch of the software, Larian will also select a few players around the world to participate in a closed beta shortly before the launch of this patch. Finally, the studio also revealed its plans for the future, while the bulk of the work has already been done on Baldur's Gate III. The studio thus confirms that no extension is planned for the game and that it will not work on a possible Baldur's Gate 4.
