What is the Dark Mold used for in Hades 2?
While playing Hades IIyou will quickly notice that farming and crafting are an integral part of the gaming experience. If you want to unlock new incantations, new weapons or improve your Arcana for example, you will have no other choice than to play repetition to find this or that resource. Among the resources that you will quickly be asked for, you will find Dark Mold.
In fact, the Dark Mold is one of the resources requested by the game to unlock certain specific elements. We think, for example, of the incantation Golden Fountain which allows you to unlock a healing fountain in Tartarus (very practical for surviving this last area of the Underworld) or the incantation Invocation of Personal Data which will satisfy fans of statistics (but which you will only be able to unlock after having defeated Cronos the first time). Aside from cauldron incantations, Dark Mold is also useful for unlocking Pan's Aspect of the Sisterhoodas well as to improve some Tarot Cards. In other words, if you don't need them right away, you will inevitably end up wanting to find some of these resources to reach the late game.
Where to find Dark Mold in Hades 2?
As is often the case with Hades II resources, you will only be able to find Dark Mold in one place. However, while many resources require you to equip a certain tool to increase their spawn rate, you won't have to do anything to find Dark Mold or collect it since it is a standard resource in the same way as Moly for example.
To find Dark Moldyou will therefore naturally have to play the game until you reach the last floor of the Underworld: the Tartar. Here, you will have to keep your eyes peeled for come across this famous plant that grows almost everywhere in a completely random way. Note that to put all the chances on your side, we advise you not to take the path numbered in Roman numerals each time you have the choice to go elsewhere. In fact, this will have the effect of lengthening your route and therefore increasing your chances of coming across Dark Mold. Finally, know that if you have done the incantation Observance of the Secrets of Gaia (7 Moly, 7 Lotus, 7 Moss), you will have a 20% chance of collecting an additional Dark Mold each time you pick one.
