While trading cards are often only worth a few cents, you can get skins from games such as PUBG, Team Fortress 2, CS:GO and Counter-Strike 2 often single to double-digit amounts bring in, but three-digit and four-digit sums can also occur. However, it should be noted that there are restrictions on Steam credit.

The Limit here is 2,000 US dollars and a comparable amount in other currencies. The maximum price for offers on the market is US$1,800 (or equivalent in other currencies). When selling items on the Community Market, the total amount of Steam balance and sales proceeds cannot exceed $2,000 (Source: Steam).

I was recently able to significantly increase my Steam credit by selling some skins from the survival game Rust via the Steam marketplace. Some of these skins were worth several euros. Within a few days I was able to accumulate a credit of around 140 euros. It's not possible to cash out your Steam credit, give it away or transfer it to another Steam account, but you can use it to purchase more games (Source: Steam).

By the way, you can also play your games on the new Steam Deck:
