After starting Dragon Quest Builder in the first chapter, the first boss awaits you at the end: Golem. This huge stone golem poses a threat to your village and causes devastation. In this guide we will show you how you can easily defeat the tough guy and continue your adventure.
In order to defeat the Golem you either need a lot of skill or very good preparation. So you should craft the corresponding items and collect the materials required for them, before you venture into the fight against the first final boss in Dragon Quest Builder. Defeat the first boss – the necessary preparations
It is essential that you complete the Cantlin chapter, as after that you will be able to produce many units of Bright Orbs. You should also build the green portal to ensure access to the stone ball monsters. We explain these steps in more detail in our list:
Bright ball: Look for the ball monsters and defeat them. These monsters drop rock bomb shards, which you can use to make small bombs. In total you should prepare at least 20 bright balls for the fight against the stone golem. When it comes to ball monsters, you should note that they can explode and kill you. That's why you should grab a steel sword and hit the monsters particularly quickly as soon as they recharge. If you are fast enough, everything is fine. If you are too slow, they will explode and kill you.Cantlin shield: If you have a few small bombs in your inventory, you can use them to mine orichalcum, which you have in the world behind the green portal. This material is very important because with Orichalkum you can build the so-called Cantlin shields, which can protect your settlement. You can find the second ingredient behind the red portal. You will reach a desert in which you can meet three opponents. These are two small and one large golem. Defeat the large golem with a bright ball and it will drop Golemite. To fight the golem, you should therefore build two shields so that the boulder does not completely reduce your settlement to rubble.
Battle sequence – this is how you defeat the first final boss
The fight against the golem is divided into: three phases. It is particularly important to protect your settlement from its high damage. So use yours Cantlin shields and don't build them into your wall, but put them down at the right moment to block the Gelom's attacks. You can then dismantle them and use them again. We introduce you to the individual phases of the fight against the first boss:
Phase 1; The golem will begin to line up in front of your wall and throw large rocks at your settlement. So run directly in front of the city wall and place yours Cantlin shields so that they catch the boulders. In total you have to fend off three chunks and you should be quick to place, take down and put up the shields again at the right moments.Phase 2: After the golem had little success with its stones, it goes into a frenzy and attacks you with whirling attacks. Use this again Cantlin shields and place them so that you can block his attacks. If the golem does come from another side, you have your second shield for security. As soon as you were able to block the final boss, he will be staggered and you can hit him Bright ball miss. You should do this quickly, otherwise the golem will start the second phase again.Phase 3: As a final attempt, the golem will spawn many small hammerlings, which you simply have to kill to complete the phase.

Additional information about the golem
Unfortunately, you have to complete the three phases several times so that you can actually defeat the final boss. The fight is only won when you have been able to place 3 bombs under him. Until this happens, the golem will go through its three phases again and again. Don't use too many bright balls for the hammerlings, otherwise there won't be many left to fight the golem. Make sure your settlement doesn't take any damage, so use it small bombs advisedly. There is a risk of damaging your city.
