Thunderbird 115.10.0 corrects security vulnerabilities and bug fixes

Mozilla has released a security update to version 115.10.0 for the Thunderbird email client. In addition to these, corrections were of course also made, which were also reported. There are certainly also bug fixes that you may encounter.

Corrections in Thunderbird 115.10.0

  • Creating a tag in general settings with a number as the tag name did not work
  • The quick filter button selection was not retained after a reboot
  • When collapsing and expanding headers in the message list, the headers could be moved out of view
  • A single message with no children within a parent thread would sometimes incorrectly appear as a thread with a duplicate of itself as a child
  • The menu items “Retrieve selected messages” did not work
  • The Download and Sync Messages dialog was too short when using the Russian locale and obscured the OK button
  • After changing the password for an IMAP account, the account could become locked due to too many failed login attempts
  • Retrieving multi-line POP3 messages from the server failed if the message section ended with a newline instead of a carriage return CR and a space
  • The IMAP, POP3 and SMTP Exchange automatic configuration did not support encryption configuration
  • A non-empty address book search bar affected viewing/editing contacts
  • Deleting participants from the Invite Participants view removed participants from the view, but not from the invitation
  • The separating arrow between the task list and the task description did not behave as expected
