With the Ancient Bronze Ingots you can currently collect a currency in Dragonflight that allows you to buy the best weapons and other items directly from a dealer.

You actually only get these bars from the “Awakened Raids” that were introduced in Season 4, but this week they are also available as a regular quest reward.

Weekly dungeon quest is particularly worthwhile

In Valdrakken you can accept the quest “Emissary of War” from Kazra during the week of May 8th to 14th. There is a reward two antique bronze bars.

To complete the quest you must within the promotional period any four mythical dungeons complete. Please note that the difficulty level has changed: Mythic 0 is now as difficult as Mythic +10.

What exactly are Antique Bronze Bars?

In Season 4 you can get this currency by completing “Awakened Raids” earn. The level of difficulty is irrelevant.

You can One Ancient Bronze Bar per character per week receive. However, every week the maximum number of bars you can earn is increased by one. However, if you miss a week, you can subsequently collect the bars you did not receive up to the current limit.

Exchange Bronze Bars: You can trade the Ancient Bronze Ingots from the corresponding sellers in the “Zum Last Glass” inn in Valdrakken. For two of the tokens You will receive a weapon or other powerful item that would otherwise only drop randomly in raids.

For three ingots you can also buy the Jigglesworth mount and for one ingot each you get weapon transmogs from the raids.

Why is this so practical?

The weapons, trinkets and rings purchased with the ingots can be purchased on Item level 535 can be upgraded and are therefore a good way to get particularly high-level items.

You can also get an item select directly and don't rely on a random drop from a boss. The two additional bars from the weekly dungeon quests do not count towards the regular limit and can be earned additionally.

A similar catchup mechanic already existed in Season 4 of Shadowlands. At that time, particularly strong items could also be easily obtained using the cartel's confusing dinars. Blizzard often tries to give casual players a few more opportunities to catch up at the end of an add-on.
