These are the best games from Germany

The award ceremony for the German Computer Game Award has concluded and there is a game of the year. The winners have also been announced in other categories.

To the Relevance of Geoff Keighley's Game Awards and similar events, of course, the German Computer Game Prize does not come close. But almost apart from the big media hype, a few games were also honored in this country last night.

These are usually German productions. And so “Everspace 2” was able to assert itself as the best German game. The responsible developer Rockfish Games is 100,000 euros richer.

The developers and publishers behind “Atlas Fallen” and “Fall of Porcupine”, who were also nominated in this categoryeach received 30,000 euros as a consolation prize.

The best family game was “Spells & Secrets” from Alchemist Interactive and Rokaplay. In the The title is currently on sale in the PlayStation Storebut the ratings there are rather mixed.

The list of other winners is made up of sometimes more and sometimes less well-known names. The best international game was “Baldur's Gate 3”. There was no money for it. Even the now officially “best player of the year” couldn’t be happy about any windfall. It was Maurice Weber from Webedia. The deciding factor here was which network could get the most people to vote, which pretty much reduces the label to absurdity.
