A positive or negative ending note for FF7 Remake 3?

Producer Yoshinori Kitase started talking about FF7 Remake 3 even before Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was released. It was during the Tokyo Game Show 2023, but at that time, developers Square Enix only had a draft of the storyline. A few months later, a few days before the launch of FF7 Remake 2, the story was already completed, although that does not mean that there will not be many changes. But there is already a complete outline for the main plot. And what will reassure fans is that director Kazushige Nojima wants the writers of the script for the 1997 PS1 game to actually be in control of the story of FF7 Remake 3.

However, Tetsuya Nomura and producer Yoshinori Kitase will still have a say as supervisors. And Kitase-san also shared his feelings about the end of FF7 Remake 3. During an interview, he expressed the desire to end the trilogy on a positive note, and without leaving anything unresolved. He wants everything to be resolved in this episode and offer a bright future to the characters. He hopes that Cloud and the rest of the protagonists are simply happy at the end of FF7 Remake 3.

And if it obviously means so much to him, it's because Yoshinori Kitase seems to envisage this game as the last one in which he will fully participate, due to his age. But if he were to distance himself, he wants the Final Fantasy 7 universe to continue even beyond FFVII Remake 3.

New Final Fantasy 7 games after part 3?

Yoshinori Kitase actually aspires for the world of Final Fantasy 7 to have the opportunity to develop after FF7 Remake 3. With a whole new gallery of characters? He did not detail his thoughts and for the moment, the primary objective is to complete the development of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Part 3. If the teams do not encounter major problems, the game could be released in 2027 on PS5. Or in three years. It can be a long time when you're waiting for the rest of a story, but this amount of time is in itself completely normal. The open world which is one of the positive points noted in FF7 Rebirth will obviously not be abandoned. And it will also have to be more solid than ever, especially from a technical point of view, because players will be able to move around using the Highwind flying ship.
