The first volume of “On the Transmigration of Souls” can be found in Bakbattahl in Dragon's Dogma II. It is held by Isaac, the apothecary of the capital of Battahl.
He does research on this famous book, except that after each discovery, the latter suffers the consequences of his curiosity. This is why the quest “Blind ambition” will be added to your mission log.
The first step will be simple: all you have to do is deliver him a ripe quince so that he can recover from his mishap. Then, you will have to wait a few days for him to finish reading the first volume of “On the transmigration of souls”. At this stage, he will then ask you to find him the second volume which is located in Vermund.
Where to find volume 2 On the Transmigration of Souls?
Isaac asks you to bring him the second volume of “On the transmigration of souls” so that he can continue his research to give his family a better life. He tells you that the latter is located in Vermund, except that he cannot cross the Battahl border.. Except we can. And this is even the reason for his request: to bring him this second volume.
