The most wishlisted game on Steam is released today in early access and is already attracting a lot of people

A more than expected launch

With more than three million wishlists under its belt, Manor Lords had everything to get off to a good start. Even if its price had yet to be set, knowing that it was launched in early access, a large community was eager to know what the medieval strategy game had in store for us.

Today is the launch of the Slave Magic title (which is actually the work of a single developer), priced at €29.99 on Steam And Epic Games Store, knowing that this is an offer that will last until May 10. After that, Manor Lords will increase to €39.99. Note, however, that the game is directly included in Xbox Game Pass PC, starting now.

What is Manor Lords?

You may have never heard of Manor Lords if you're not really into the world of PC gaming and what's happening on Steam. The title of Slavic Magic takes a fairly common starting point in all productions of the genre, asking you to play a medieval lord who will start from scratch with the aim of building his own city.

A construction that we are promised will be free, with many possibilities while remaining faithful to what the Middle Ages really was. It is therefore necessary to cultivate land, build trade routes, build houses for the inhabitants, harvest resources to face the winter…

But the game does not stop at a simple medieval city-builder. Once your kingdom is in full expansion, you will also have to go to war. The more your territory expands, the more you will be the object of desire. You will have to build your own army and lead your troops in real-time battles, which will also be based on a very realistic aspect because you will have to take into account the fatigue of your troops and the climatic conditions.

Already a hit on Steam

Even if it has only been available for a few hours, we can already see if the interest is still there and if these wishlists have transformed into real purchases, which is still not the case. Obviously, the game does not have three million users at the moment, but in just a few hours, it has exceeded the mark of 100,000 people connected simultaneouslyaccording to SteamDB.

It is still too early to really measure the potential success of the title, but if the good feedback is there, it could very easily double this score, or even go much further. Games in early access which are experiencing record attendance are now quite common, like Palworldbut for a strategy game, it is still worth emphasizing.

We will therefore closely monitor this Manor Lords to know if it will become a phenomenon, or if its success will only be ephemeral.
