Is an action hero's star falling? Actor Vin Diesel has long been considered the epitome of adrenaline-pumping blockbusters in Hollywood. He wasn't just in films like xXX – Triple X and The Chronicles of Riddick to see, but also lent his distinctive voice to the Marvel hero Groot. But above all, Vin Diesel is the face that defines everything of the extremely successful action franchise Fast & Furious. In the end, however, the actor did most of all through some controversies. Is he now getting perhaps his last chance?
How successful is Fast & Furious actually?
The first film in the now legendary Fast & Furious film series was released in cinemas in 2001, so the franchise has now 23 years old. While the initial focus was primarily on races with drilled-out cars, the focus in the later films shifted to increasingly crazy stunts and crazy action sequences. This recipe is very well received by fans, based on the films that have been released so far grossed around seven billion dollars, even if the youngest offshoot Fast 10 was a bit weak. But what does the future of the series look like?

When is Fast 11 coming to theaters?
It has been known for some time that Fast 11, another and final film in the mega-franchise, is planned. In the meantime there was even talk of two projects, although these plans have now been buried. More detailed information about the start date of the action blockbuster didn't exist – until now.
Director Louis Letterier was recently a guest at the CCXP MX film event and took part in a panel there. He talked about his future projects – including Fast 11. According to Letterier's statements, they begin the filming for the big finale of the action franchise towards the beginning of 2025. The cinema release is planned for 2026, unfortunately the director did not give a more precise date. At least the fans now have a clue: They have to be patient for at least another year and a half before Vin Diesel slips into his signature role as Dominic Toretto for the last time.
