“Helldivers fans, we have heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 linking update. The May 6th update, which requires a connection between Steam and PlayStation Network accounts for new players and for already active players from May 30th will not be released. We are still in the process of learning what is best for PC players, your feedback is invaluable to us. Thank you for your continued support of Helldivers 2, we will continue to keep you informed about future plans Up to date.”

Accordingly has the shitstorm from the fans achieved its desired effect, Sony and the developers gave in to the enormous pressure from the community.
