In conversation with ScreenRant Nicolas Cage revealed that there have apparently already been some conversations about a potential role in Star Trek:
“There have been a few phone calls. But I don't know, I would have to see a script first. It would have to be something that I could put my own stamp on. That had some pizzazz and some spark. I wouldn't want to just do anything because I have so much love for the series. I want to be on the Enterprise. Ideally […] in some capacity. I don't want to float in space on a satellite. I want to be on the bridge. But you have to bring her to me.”
