Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection receives Update 1.04

The launch of the “Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection” went quite badly. The developers of Aspyr have now released the second patch with a whole range of improvements.

The “Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection” was released on March 14, 2024 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the series, players should be given one Return to the classics “Star Wars Battlefront” and “Star Wars Battlefront 2” are offered along with bonus content.

However, the launch of the collection was particularly special technical inadequacies into the water. After about four weeks ago first patch was released for the “Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection”, the developers are now following up with the next update.

Patch 1.04 released for all platforms

The new update for Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection fixes bugs on all available platforms and brings improvements to enemy AI and crashes. A bug is said to have been fixed that caused the server list to be refreshed without audio-visual feedback. In addition, players in Star Wars Battlefront were unable to connect to private servers even if they entered the correct password.

A particularly annoying issue where the respawn countdown timer would stop at 1 has also been fixed by Aspyr with the new update. Players could also get stuck on the Waiting for Player screen after joining a multiplayer game that was already in progress. There are also other visual improvements, such as the lightsabers being too bright or the flickering lights on Utapau.

Work on the game is still ongoing

As the developers write in the patch notes, things will continue after the second update for the “Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection”. The team has already started working on the third patch for the game.

However, it is not yet known when the next update will appear. Aspyr will provide further information when the time comes. However, you are still encouraged to report any bugs, errors, or unexpected behavior in the game collection to the support team.
