Solution to the quest “He is taken who thought he was taken”

Now that he knows he was scammed, Kérubim Crépin wants to bring down the charlatan. To do this, he has a plan of which you are the centerpiece. Having never dealt with this individual before, you will be the bait. He will thus spread a rumor to Astrub saying that you want to buy a statue. You can then “Agree to follow your plan” to start the quest.

He thus provides you with a purse to bring back to Prim at the library, in [7,-19]. Start with him
“Explain the need for posters and leaflets” before going to give weight to the rumor in town. To do this, you will have to go see 3 people and
“Start the rumor about buying a statue”. Go see Sel Dawa in front of the tavern in [6,-18]then Shani Sings in the jewelers' workshop in
[6,-15] before ending with Alberta Borida near the pond in [1,-21].

You will now need to find an Amaknean Investigator who is also looking for the crook. You can find it in 4 different positions, in [3,-21] at the alchemists' workshop, [1,-17] above the grocery store, [7,-15] at the tailor's workshop or
[7,-19] at the library. Although he doubts your plan, he agrees to follow you just in case.

Put an end to it for good

Now that the plan is in place, go to
[6,-19], in front of the portal to Incarnam to find the crook. This is Hippolyte Hique, who claims to be responsible for the religious heritage of Astrub and is looking for you. As soon as he starts to broach the subject of the sale price, your accomplices arrive. Then speak with the Amaknean Investigator to convince him to resolve the problem with the militia.

Then turn to Hippolyte Hique to lead him there. Deliver him to Badufron, inside the militia in
[5,-19]. He tells you that this character is actually called Victor, and that he is a former count, deposed for having created counterfeit money. Then go down to the basement, in the prisons, to speak with Hippolyte Hique.

This will end the quest. “He is taken who thought he was taken” on Dofuswhich concludes the success “Opportunity makes the thief”.
