Made in Germay beats Hollywood?! The science fiction epic Dune 2 is one of the most successful films of 2024 and is riding a huge wave of euphoria. The latest film from cult director Denis Villeneuve not only received great reviews, but also broke several records. Nevertheless, the Hollywood blockbuster now has to to admit defeat to the competition from Germany. A big surprise?
When can you stream Dune 2?
Dune Part 2 was released in cinemas here on February 29, 2024, so it has been on the big screen for exactly a month. The science fiction film has so far been successful worldwide grossed more than $581 million and is clearly at the top of the current annual charts. However, if you want to stream the epic with Wonka star Timothée Chalamet, you'll have to be patient. According to current plans, the streaming start as a purchase or rental option is planned for April 15, 2024 on Amazon Prime Video. But the film is at a disadvantage compared to a surprise hit from Germany.

Hollywood has no chance against Made in Germany
In the past few weeks both have dominated Dune 2 as well as the new animated hit Kung Fu Panda 4 hit the cinema charts in Germany at will. No other film came close to these two Hollywood blockbusters, with Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire the next big box office hit is already in the starting blocks.
