Season 3 of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and the current Warzone are also getting a big mid-season update. Season 3 Reloaded starts on May 1st at 6 p.mso you can use the holiday wonderfully to preload and gamble.

There are new maps, weapons, modes, and Sledgehammer has been running out of ideas thematically for a few seasons now, so you get another playable athlete: Devin Booker, basketball player in the NBA. Also this:

But the new maps look cool, so let's go through the new features in detail.

New maps in Season 3 Reloaded

Two new maps await you in MW3's regular multiplayer, both 6v6 maps of medium size. You already know one of them from Rebirth Island in Warzone.

• Checkpoint is a military communications outpost on Rebirth Island, where most of the action takes place around a central headquarters building. The map is visually reminiscent of Dome from the 2022 MW2, but the layout seems much more concentrated.
• Grime is a completely new map at the Port of London with a slightly shabby dockyard look. In terms of layout, you can expect two outside lanes and one inside lane, so the fights could be very interesting.

New weapons and gadgets in Season 3 Reloaded

In Season 3 Reloaded you get this time only a new weapon, but if Call of Duty doesn't fail because of one thing, it's a lack of weapons. The new weapon also has an interesting functionality.

• The BAL-27 assault rifle switches smoothly between precision and rate of fire. The first four shots are fired slowly but precisely. However, if you hold down the trigger, the rate of fire increases dramatically, but the bullets no longer hit as precisely. The gun sounds like a powerful hybrid between run & gun close combat and medium-range precision shots.

The BAL-27 Assault Rifle's functionality changes depending on how long you hold down the trigger.

• With the field upgrade Enhanced Vision Goggles You get improved vision for a short time, making it easier to hit enemies.
• The new tactical EMD mine place it somewhere on surfaces. As soon as an enemy passes by, the device distributes trackers that mark all enemies in the area on the minimap for a longer period of time.

What's new in Season 3 Reloaded in Warzone

Rebirth Island is getting some innovations to keep the battle royale lively.

• The Weapon Trade Station returns: There you can exchange your gun for another weapon including additional loot, but the spot is of course fiercely contested.
• With the Specialist Perk Package you get all the perks there are. Fat package.
• With the new one Foresight killstreak you can predict all future circles of battle royale. Ideal for long-term planning.
• Very cool: The Time of day varies in every Rebirth Island round in the future.

New modes and playlists in Season 3 Reloaded

To keep the matches exciting, the mid-season patch brings some new modes and playlists for regular multiplayer:

• In Minefield Dead enemies leave proximity mines behind, which are deadly for the dead man's teammates.
• With Escort A classic payload mode awaits you, so you have to escort a small armored car through the map and the defending team tries to prevent that.

• The playlist The Vortex Throw yourself back into the demonic-possessed variants of well-known MW3 maps like Quarry, Skidrow or Scrapyard.
• In the arcade Playlist collects power ups like an automatic shotgun with explosive ammunition to light the fire under your colleagues.

What's new in Zombie mode in Season 3 Reloaded

The zombie mode is also getting some expansions.

• In one new story mission save her Dr. Ava Jansen from a Dark Aether Rift.
