Discover completely different cultures and landscapes, from a multitude of skyscrapers to environments covered in greenery, passing through a world ruled by five witches, or another under the reign of vampires; and that's just a few of the unique universes available.
An eclectic selection of protagonists
Six main characters, each with a unique story and very different objectives, will set off on an adventure in five distinct story arcs.
They will travel across several worlds, each with their own reasons: a human on a mission to protect the barrier that defends his city; a witch trying to reclaim the magic she lost and pretending to be a schoolgirl; and a vampire lord eager to reclaim his crown and reclaim his rightful place as master of his world.
Even if you choose the same protagonist a second (or third, or even fourth) time for a game, the story and events will be completely different, giving you a new game and experience.
Your own story
No other game in the SaGa series has a story with as many branches as SaGa Emerald Beyond.
The story varies wildly depending on your choices and actions. Each visit to a world will advance the story and unlock new possibilities, whether for the protagonist or for you.
By progressing in this way, the story will become completely unique. In addition to modifying your progress, it will also affect the multiple potential endings that await each protagonist.
Fights where every choice is crucial
SaGa Emerald Beyond takes the very strategic system of Timeline Battles which made the success of the SaGa series even further. You will find classic elements, such as the possibility of immediately obtaining abilities with the Glimmer system, the tactical placement of allies with Formations, as well as combination attacks which allow you to chain individual abilities together to create consecutive attacks devastating. This is the most advanced version of SaGa's turn-based combat system to date.
The new combat system makes clashes even more intense than before, allowing you to use support characters, interrupt enemy actions and use combo attacks by strategically changing the order actions of your allies.
Which characters will join you, which weapons you will use, your team formation and your tactics: it's all up to you!
