It is not possible to respecialize in Fallout 4!

As we have just told you, in Fallout 4, as in many RPGs, it is quite common to start with an idea for a build, then to finally change your mind along the way. Since then, an option is often given to players to allow them to respecialize.

You generally have to speak to an NPC, who will allow you to go back on the allocation of your levels and skill points. Sometimes this requires a little money involved, but nothing too restrictive. The problem, It's that in Fallout 4, it's not that simple.

To make it short, there is simply no no way to respecialize provided in the game. Therefore, if you started with a bad build, you will only have two options. Either you deal with it, or you decide to start again from the beginning of the adventure.

As we will see later, as is often the case when a feature is missing, the modding community comes to our aid. The good news is that the mod that we are going to present to you, is accessible on consoles and PC!

Mods exist for respec on Fallout 4

You can therefore indeed respecialize on Fallout 4, but this will necessarily involve installing mods. Be careful because with the next-gen update, many of these simply no longer work because of the changes made!

Therefore, if this is the case you will have to follow this guide on Downgrader mode. The latter allows you to return to the version of the game before the addition of next-gen content. You will therefore not have the new missions for example, but mods that work instead.

As for the mod that interests us, the one called Cheat Room allows you to do this very quickly and even works with the next-gen patch. Once installed, go to the new area created by the mod southwest of Vault 111 and once there, interact with the back wall to open a menu.

Then go to “Cheats” and then to “Player cheats”. There, the two options that will interest you are “SPECIAL” and “Perks”. It is thanks to these that you will be able to respecialize in the game. There are a whole bunch of other cheats via this mod, but we won't be interested in them here!
