However, things could be slowly picking up speed. Jeff Grubb pointed this out in a new issue of Game Mess. But he doesn't want to let himself be pinned down.

Dragon Age Dreadwolf releasing this year?

Jeff Grubb wants to know that BioWare is internally planning a release this year. However, he immediately followed up with a statement that fans shouldn't rely on it.

“[Dreadwolf] will be released this year, I’ve heard that much,” said Grubb. “They're pretty confident about it. That doesn't mean it's a guarantee – it could still be delayed – but at the moment they're internally expecting it to be released this year.”

How reliable are the statements? Jeff Grubb is no Tom Henderson or billbil-kun, whose predictions and insider information can often be equated with an announcement because they are surprisingly often accurate. Jeff Grubb's statements do not allow the conclusion beyond doubt that these are actual insider information.

This is not the first time Grubb has reported on “Dragon Age Dreadwolf”. In August 2023 he stated: “At the moment it won’t be released until summer 2024 at the earliest. They don’t talk about it publicly.”

But even last year he didn't want to let himself be pinned down. “This is just based on my research. “So it shouldn’t surprise anyone if it shifts again,” he added at the time

In fact, BioWare announced in December 2023 that “Dragon Age Dreadwolf” would not be released until summer 2024. A teaser lasting around 50 seconds was also released, showing the port city of Antiva, the coast of Rivain and Anderfels.

When will Dragon Age Dreadwolf be revealed?

If released this year, the announcement would have to be made in the next few months. Grubb also has a rather vague forecast for this.

He emphasized: “I don't know when it will be shown, but [ich] assume it will be shown sometime this summer. But it could happen at any time,” said the Giantbomb editor.

However, there is no need for speculation, which calls Grubb's reliability somewhat into question. BioWare officially announced last December: “We will fully reveal Dragon Age Dreadwolf to you in the summer of 2024. We really can’t wait.”

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
