If you don't want to watch the entire show offered by Atlus, you will have a good summary with the new trailer for Metaphor: ReFantaziowhich raises the stakes of the title a little more. After the assassination of the king in the kingdom, a race for the throne will begin between several candidates, via a somewhat particular election system. Our hero will have to do everything to gain allies among the different tribes while fighting monsters (which are called Humans here), even if his initial goal will be to save the prince from his curse.
This video also allows us to better appreciate the combat system, which will mix the classic turn-based system with a more action-oriented system, for the weakest enemies. The characters will not have a Persona here but jobs, defined as archetypes. The system ultimately works like summoning Personas, but these jobs will be more precise with skill trees. It is by gaining allies that we can unlock new archetypes.

Exploration also promises to be a little freer than in the studio's previous games, with different cities to visit. This is particularly where you can find all the side quests, such as monster hunts, which will require you to go in search of information on the targets to make it easier to kill them.
The world can be traveled through the “Gauntlet Runner”, a ship which will serve as your base. Traveling will take you time in Metaphor: ReFantazio, and as in Persona, this time will be precious. You will therefore have to think carefully about the number of days you will lose going from one city to another. We therefore find a calendar system and defined time to complete the different quests. This travel time will help you build stronger relationships with your companions, while carrying out various activities such as cooking.
