Marvel helps the competition. Currently James Gunn and Peter Safran are working hard on redesigning the new DCU. After the numerous flops of the recent past is supposed to be the superhero universe to a much better future be guided. The next Superman film should ensure this, among other things. Even without fan favorite Henry Cavill, but with a successor that is at least as ambitious, the starting signal will soon be given for the new adventures of the mighty hero with the cape. To make it a success, there's even some help from the Marvel Universe.
When is Superman coming to cinemas?
The film was originally supposed to appear under the name Superman Legacy, but it was only recently that the title was officially shortened. As part of the completely rebuilt DCU supposed to be Superman on July 11, 2025 come to the cinemas. Filming is already in full swing and the first pictures have even appeared.

Superman gets unexpected support from the Marvel Universe
While the casting of the main roles for the new Superman has been known for some time, more and more details about the rest of the cast are now becoming public. The character of Jonathan Kent is particularly interesting, the adoptive father of Clark Kent aka Superman. This is where the Marvel Universe comes into play.
According to a recent report by The Wrap magazine, he is becoming an actor Pruitt Taylor Vince slip into the role of Jonathan Kent. This name should certainly sound familiar, especially to some series fans.
Vince was, among other things, a grill Marvel's Agents of SHIELD to see. He also appeared in the Netflix megahit Stranger Things and the thriller Bird Box. In this indirect way, the new DCU and the Marvel universe come together.
What's next for Marvel?
Deadpool & Wolverine is the only new Marvel filmwhich will be released in cinemas later this year – on July 24, 2024 the time has come. Disney recently put the MCU on the brakes and many projects postponed. This doesn't just apply the two new Avengers filmsfor the a new villain is being sought. Also Captain America: Brave New World with an absolute Hollywood legend will be in theaters later. The premiere is scheduled for February 12, 2025.
