Party-based Soulslike confirmed for consoles

The Soulslike RPG “Deathbound” is also coming out for the current-gen consoles. You can marvel at a new trailer for this announcement.

In August 2023, Trialforge Studio and Tate Multimedia announced the Soulslike game “Deathbound” for PC. It is now clear that PS5 and Xbox Series versions are also in the works. All platforms will be supplied at the same time, but the exact date has not yet been set.

You embark on a crusade in a medieval world where fanatical faith and mysterious sciences fight for control. It is a world in which there is neither good nor evil.

This title should stand out a party-based single player system stand out from other Soulslike productions. Here you control a ship with various heroes on it. All of them have an individual fighting style with different abilities. You can switch back and forth between these characters at any time. With the help of talent trees you develop your own play style.

However, you have to take the relationships between the characters into account. This has a big impact on gameplay. Characters with shared beliefs can create strong synergy, while conflict negatively impacts battles.

This is an important element in combat sync meter, that all characters on your ship share. If the opportunity arises, you can resolve it and trigger a “Morphstrike”.

If you are interested in “Deathbound”, you can get one on your PC via Steam Try demo. This test version may also come to consoles at a later date.
