New PS5 Firmware (24.03-09.20.00) Released with Exciting Community Feature Update!

After a 24.02-09.00.00 update for the PS5 last month, an improved community help functionality compared to what already existed was presented at length, with the only indication of availability being a launch planned for this year. This will not have dragged on sinceit has just been implemented with the firmware 24.03-09.20.00 release this Wednesday. Note that automatic capture is deactivated as standard. Furthermore, although it is not indicated, a small and more than welcome change has been made. Previously, once the update and automatic restart were completed, we had to manually select our profile to return to the main menu. Now we land directly on the home. On the other hand, the DualSense must always be reactivated.

Below you will find the changelog of this update.

    • In the Game Help, tips will be marked Community game support for compatible games. These tips were generated from other players' gameplay videos.
    • You can participate in the Community Game Help by allowing your gameplay videos to be automatically captured and added after review. To choose this option, go to Settings > Captures & Broadcasts > Captures > Auto Captures > Community Game Help, then select Participate. You can also deactivate this feature at any time.
  • During a Remote Play session, if you see the persistent “Remote Play Connected” message, you can now hide it from your game screen. Go to Settings > System > Remote Play and enable Hide Remote Play connection status.
  • We have improved the performance and stability of the system software.
  • We have improved the messages and the ergonomics of certain screens.
