Announced to everyone's surprise, Nintendo will hold an online event tomorrow to unveil new games coming to Switch in the coming months. An event not to be missed in what seems to be one of the last years of the Japanese manufacturer's hybrid console.

One of the last Indie Worlds for the Nintendo Switch?
After a Nintendo Direct last February, the Japanese manufacturer continues to unveil upcoming games on its hybrid console through its own events. Thus, it is on social networks that Nintendo has announced that an Indie World will be broadcast tomorrow, Wednesday April 17, at 4 p.m.. As its name suggests, this broadcast is devoted to independent games exclusively and no games developed by Nintendo directly should be present.
Small important detail to note, we can emphasize that the announcement message specifies that these are independent productions which will be released this year, in 2024. In other words, you won't have to wait long to play it, unlike titles like Metroid Prime 4 announced years ago and of which we still haven't seen the slightest game image. However, if the officialization of this broadcast is having a small effect on social networks, it is because of another independent event which gave hope to many players.
Silksong, finally the right one? We have concrete clues!
If you haven't followed video game news too much lately, you may not have seen that Hollow Knight: Silksong, the sequel to one of the most popular indie games of recent years, has been rated in South Korea and Australia. This is a sign that the project is coming to fruition since it is starting to present itself to institutions, probably with a view to a release. So, the announcement of this Indie World comes at the right time because many players imagine and hope that Team Cherry's game will appear again during this event to finally announce a release date.
It must be said that Hollow Knight: Silksong is one of the greatest video game players of recent years. After the success of Hollow Knight, the original game released in 2017 on PC, then in 2018 on consoles, an expansion was immediately announced in February 2019. However, over time, the project grew more and more to the point of becoming a full-fledged sequel. That's when development took much longer than expected and radio silence set in on Team Cherry's side.
In June 2022, a trailer was revealed during the Xbox-Bethesda conference, which pushed Microsoft to claim that the game would be available in less than a year, before June 12, 2023, something which ultimately did not happen. If we know that the title is official on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series and finally Nintendo Switch, players are just waiting for the announcement of its release date.
