Knight Models has announced a “Game of Thrones” miniatures game together with HBO. Buyers will be able to receive their copy shortly.
A tabletop version of George RR Martin's “A Song of Ice and Fire”, also known from the HBO series “Game of Thrones”, was released in 2017. It was produced by Cool Mini or Not, CMON for short, and continues to this day with new expansions. The name is based on the book, as the characters are based on it.

The competing product from Knight Models that has now been presented advertises the HBO license, which is also printed on the box. So it can be assumed that people will stick to the HBO series here. Hence the name “Game of Thrones Miniatures Game”.
On the Knight Models site Three boxes have been presented so far. All three can be pre-ordered since April 26, 2024. According to the manufacturer, purchases will begin shipping on May 10, 2024.
The Starter set currently costs 85 euros. Those who pre-order will also receive a miniature of Eddard Stark. The purchase also includes 16 additional miniatures, a rule book, cardboard terrain decorations, two decks of cards and all other game materials needed to get started.

Two expansions for Game of Thrones Miniatures Game have already been introduced
Two expansions were introduced along with the starter set. The first expansion to “Game of Thrones Miniatures Game” brings King Joffrey and his court into play. For 35 euros, buyers can get four more plastic miniatures. The set includes Joffrey, Tyrion Lannister, the Hound and Bronn.
The expansion pack is also available for pre-order “Stark Wolf Pack”. This includes Arya, Sansa, Osha and Hodor, who is carrying Bran. This box also costs 35 euros. Both expansions will be released on the same day as the Starter Set.
The game is designed as a skirmish for two players. CMON promises to recreate the complex dynamics of power and conflict that characterize the series. The game is structured so that players can experience different strategic scenarios in each session.
