An open world game announced in March 2022 as the next work by New Zealand developer A44 Game, who created the original open world co-op action RPG “Ashen,” which depicts a beautiful fantasy world where humans and giants are in conflict. As the release of the action RPG “Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn” approaches in the summer of 2024, A44 Game has released a new gameplay video of just under 3 minutes that shows the various elements of this work.
Hybrid melee/firearm combat in collaboration with the strange NPC who brews Turkish coffee and the magical creature Enki, an XP increase system that accumulates by successive attacks (resets when hit), and changes to supplies and skill trees. Check out the latest video below that shows many details, such as the rest area “Lodestones”, the battle with the shield-bearing boss called “The Annihilator”, and the high-altitude “Rift” that leads to a new area.

“Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn” is set in a fictional Sci-Fi fantasy world where a realm ruled by the Old Gods opens and humanity is on the brink of extinction by an army of undead. It is an open-world action RPG that depicts battles, and features elements such as combat using a combination of flintlock guns and melee weapons, cooperation with magical creature companions controlled by AI, and Japanese support. Released and launched in summer 2024. It is scheduled to be included in Xbox Game Pass on the first day.
According to a report from A44 Game, gameplay footage of the expanded version will be released next month.
