MOKA remains on top as Global TV OEM market Q1 shipments increase by 5.5% compared to last year

  • MOKA's shipments in the first quarter reached 3.25 million units, ranking first in the world for a second time, with a slight year-on-year growth of 3.2%, and its lead over second-placed TPV reached nearly 900,000 units..

  • TPV (TPV) shipped 2.39 million units in the first quarter, ranking second in the professional OEM market, a year-on-year decrease of approximately 9.0%.

  • AMTC shipped 2.12 million units in the first quarter, a year-on-year decrease of 15.5%, ranking third among professional OEMs.

  • Express Luck shipped approximately 1.72 million units in the first quarter, a significant year-on-year increase of 54.8%, becoming the professional foundry with the largest growth in the first quarter, ranking fourth..

  • BOE VT (video) shipped 1.69 million units in the first quarter, a slight decrease of 1.4% year-on-year, ranking fifth among professional foundries. Major customers include Vizio, Samsung, LGE, Xiaomi, Hisense, Huawei, SONY and HIFI.

  • Foxconn shipped 1.56 million units in the first quarter, ranking seventh among professional foundries, with shipments slightly increasing by 0.6% year-on-year.

  • HKC shipped 1.5 million units in the first quarter, a significant year-on-year increase of 40.2%, ranking eighth among professional foundries.

  • JPE (gold products) and Innolux (Innolux) shipments were both below one million units, down 8.9% and 13.5% respectively from the same period last year. Among them, Innolux's shipment volume in the current quarter is only more than 500,000 units.

Luotu Technology data shows that in the first quarter, brand shipments in the global TV market were basically the same as last year. There are three reasons for its growth:

  • Under the clear trend of panel price increases, the strategy of settling at low prices has accelerated the pace of order placing and shipment by brand manufacturers;

  • This year is a big year for sports. Promotional stocking is ahead of schedule, especially the increase in orders in Europe and the United States, which has driven the global TV OEM market.;

  • The proportion of outsourced manufacturing for Korean brands and some major domestic brands has increased.

The combined shipments of the world's top 10 professional TV foundries (excluding the four brand-owned factories) accounted for 72.8% of the overall global foundry market, but the year-on-year growth was not as good as the broader market, only 3.3%.

At the same time, the differences between factories are relatively large, with the ten professional global TV OEMs seeing evenly higher and lower prices. Driven by sports events, orders from manufacturers such as Express Luck, HKC, MOKA, KTC and Foxconn have increased. Among them,Express Luck’s growth rate exceeded 50%, and HKC’s growth rate exceeded 40%..

Regarding the self-owned factories of the four major TV brands, the total combined shipments of the four major factories of Changhong, Skyworth, Konka and Hisense in the first quarter reached 5.583 million units, an increase of 13.3% compared with the same period in 2023, and the combined market share accounted for 23.7% , a year-on-year increase of 1.6 percentage points.

Among them, Changhong OEM shipped 2.78 million units, a year-on-year increase of 29.2%; Skyworth OEM shipped 2.01 million units, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%. Konka's OEM shipments were less than one million units, while Hisense's OEM shipments were more than 100,000 units, a year-on-year decrease.
