Microsoft Edge 124.0.2478.67 corrects 3 security vulnerabilities – notice of HTTP downloads has been reverted

Yesterday evening Microsoft made Edge 124.0.2478.67 available for download. This version closes three Chromium security vulnerabilities. Along the way, fixes and performance issues have also been addressed. But that wasn't all here.

In this version, a warning that appeared when trying to download something from HTTP sites has been reverted. This download notice was accidentally activated. “Admins can use the feature flag InsecureDownloadWarnings to test the impact of this upcoming feature. Note: We plan to enable the warning in Microsoft Edge version 127.”

  • Email notifications for extension requests in the Microsoft Edge management service. The Microsoft Edge Management Service now offers administrators the ability to receive email notifications for extensions that their users have requested. Once this feature is enabled, admins will be immediately notified of any new pending requests they may have.
