This year's winners of the German Computer Game Awards, or DCP for short, have now been announced. On the evening of April 18th, the best games from Germany and the creative minds behind them were honored and presented at the Eisbach Studios in Munich Prize money totaling 800,000 euros will be distributed. Here are the winners:

Maurice Weber is player of the year


Maurice Weber, strategy commander and fantasy connoisseur on Twitchwas voted Player of the Year 2024 after voting by the community and jury.

Maurice prevailed against his ex-colleague Fabian Siegismund, Anormaldisaster, Franziska Bülow and JustBecci.

Ad Infinitum wins three prizes


The horror game Ad Infinitum, developed in Berlin, transports the horror of the First World War into a nightmarish borderline experience that goes to the core and was well received on Steam with 84 percent positive reviews. The debut game from the new studio Hekate won three awards.

The young talent prizes were awarded: Best Debut, Best Audio Design and Best Story. This corresponds to a total of 140,000 euros in prize money. According to GameStar author Elena, Ad Infinitum does one thing right that many similar games miss!

The DCP was awarded for the first time in 2009 and the prize has been offered by politics and business ever since. This year, among others, Bavaria's Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) and the Parliamentary State Secretary for Economic Affairs Michael Kellner (Greens) delivered a laudatory speech. The aim of the German Computer Game Prize is to promote Germany as a business location for the gaming industry.
