While some spend months or even years perfecting their playstyle, others simply spam a single button to win, especially in fighting games. This Bandai Namco title is no exception, and this character is the perfect example.

The character who traumatized an entire community

Many players discovered fighting games when they were still quite young, whether through a relative, a friend, at a flea market or sale of second-hand games, or even through an arcade room. Among the most popular, we of course find the series Street Fighterbut also SoulCaliburand of course Tekkenwho returned with Tekken 8 in January 2024 after a long absence. Besides, even if the base game is excellent, Bandai Namco Entertainment has planned to release a lot of additional content, like Tekken 7 who has experienced no less than 4 seasonal passes with around fifteen additional characters.

But if there is one fighter who has left his mark on many fans since his debut in Tekken 3It's good Eddie Gordo. The young Brazilian traumatized more than one player with his endless capoeira combos, and although some tried hard to learn his attacks by heart, the majority of players were for a long time content to press all the buttons. A technique which, unfairly, often allowed you to win, especially in the first games where Eddy appeared. But it looks like Eddy Gordo hasn't finished tormenting Tekken fans, since he joined the Tekken 8 roster in April 2024 and is already starting to wreak havoc…

It's certain Twitch that the streamer jimmashima decided to carry out a small experiment involving Eddie Gordo. The player has developed a bot that plays Eddy in online ranked mode, all by spamming a single key. The button in question is button 3 (or the cross key CROSS) which controls Eddy's left leg, allowing him to launch a devastating combo repeatedly, with a much faster reaction time than a human.

Thanks to this bot, jimmashima was able to terrorize many players with the same combo, until reaching the Destroyer rank. To put things in context, the Destroyer rank is the 14th rank available in ranked games, and maximum rank, God of Destruction, is the 30th rank. To reach the Destroyer rank, you must accumulate 14,700 points by winning matches, at the rate of 400 points per game. In other words, the bot jimmashima has reached a rank that most casual players have never seen, and we wouldn't want to be in the shoes of its (many) victims.
