We have known since 2022 that the developers at Spiders are working on the role-playing game “GreedFall 2: The Dying World”. In a newly released trailer, the studio gives us the first gameplay scenes from the sequel.
In 2022, Nacon and the developers of Spiders announced the ongoing work known for “GreedFall 2: The Dying World”. According to the official announcement, the role-playing game is a prequel to “GreedFall,” which was released in 2019.

If everything goes as planned, “GreedFall 2: The Dying World” will be released for the PC and the current consoles later this year. It starts in summer the early access start on the PC. In keeping with this, the makers of Spiders released the “Doneigada” trailer for the prequel this week.
This gives us the first scenes from the dark fantasy adventure. In addition to impressions of the game world itself and selected characters, Spiders presents us with the first scenes from the revised combat system.
A plague and wars plague the old world
The native was forcibly uprooted from his home island and taken to the continent of Gacane. On the new continent, the protagonist is faced with the task of becoming a “Doneigada”. A term that can best be translated as “wise man”. “What are the Doneigada?”, the developers explain in the video description of the new trailer.
“They are our past and future. The wise ones whose job it is to protect our clan and our land. Violence should always be the last resort. But how many resorts do we have left?”

The fight against an unscrupulous despot
According to the developers of Spiders, in “GreedFall 2: The Dying World” we are confronted with the cunning plans of a ruthless despot. Driven by a mania for conquest, the antagonist of the role-playing game does everything he can to put his dark plans into action and grab power.
In the sequel to “GreedFall”, you use diplomacy, cunning and your combat skills in equal measure to thwart the villain’s plans. The support of your allies plays an important role. With your partners, you work to bring peace back to the world.
“GreedFall 2: The Dying Light” is coming to PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
