Location Guide for Power Armor and Fusion Cores in Fallout 4

With power armor you become the ultimate wasteland warrior and benefit from numerous advantages. The armor is powered by fusion cores, which you should always look out for in the game world. We'll tell you the locations of power armor and fusion cores in Fallout 4 and explain how you can repair and remove them.

Find, repair and remove power armor

Power armor makes you a little slower on foot, but you benefit from high damage and radiation resistance and can also carry more. You get your first T-45 power armor relatively early in the game. You can also find more in many other places in the wasteland. Please note the following tips:

If you join the Brotherhood of Steel, you will receive a pair of Brotherhood T-60 power armor as a gift during the faction quests on the huge airship. You can there too Use the station to repair and modify your power armor.If you want to put on power armor, you have to hold down the interaction key (by default the X/A key on consoles, the enter key on PC). Then you should definitely take out the fusion core. You don't leave your ignition key in the car either. Also on the airship you can discover an Enclave helmet on the counter behind the dealer. You can steal this as long as you are a master at picking locks and don't get caught. There are power armors everywhere in the game world, which can either be found abandoned or in cages (see locations below). You can open the doors to the cages using a nearby terminal. So train the Hacker perk in the Intelligence talent tree as early as possible. Take a companion with you when looking for power armor, because if you are already wearing power armor but find another one, you can order your companion to get into the new power armor. This way you can take them with you. Even if you don't want to use the power armor you found, grab the fusion cores that are in most of them and replenish your supply.

Locations of all power armor and fusion cores

Below we will show you the locations of power armor and fusion cores, which you can find relatively early in the game and without any difficulty. Please note that what kind of power armor you find in the respective locations depends on your player level. This is from the versions T-45 to X-01 everything your heart desires.

The X-01 is one of the most advanced series of power armor. You can find them in the high-rise building at 35 Court. However, you must have a high level of 28 or more, as this increases the chances that you will actually find an X-01.

35 Court is not directly on the map, but is located just west of Custom House Tower in east central Boston. After entering, you have to take the elevator all the way up. A guard bot and an agressortron await you here, so be careful! You then have to press the red button on each side of the room before the chamber with the X-01 in the middle opens. One T-45 power armor is located underwater in the lake near the landfill north of Boston.

One T-45 with fusion core we found south of the Corvega manufacturing plant on the highway. Take the elevator under the highway to the top.

You can find one on a freight train northwest of the Corvega manufacturing plant T-45 with fusion core in a cage. The terminal right next to it gives you access.

We found one west of the Corvega manufacturing plant T-51 with fusion core locked in a cage on the side of the road.

There is also one on a freight train just east of Tempines Bluff T-45 with fusion core in the cage. The terminal can be found somewhat hidden in the carriage in front of it.

You can find one directly west of the USAF satellite station Olivia in the far north of the Commonwealth, not far from Sanctuary T-45 find. It is located right next to the crashed Vertibird.

To the far west just south of the Greater Mass Blood Clinic we have a building with a T-51 found. There are also numerous power armor stations for repairs and modifications.

There's one near all the car wrecks southeast of the Greater Mass Blood Clinic T-51 with fusion core.

Just north of the Railroad Headquarters on the riverbank, you can find one hidden in the cage behind a stack of shipping containers T-51 find.

North of Fort Strong in the far east you can find power armor in the guardhouse near the barrier. For us it was one T-51 with fusion core.

We were lucky enough to have one in South Boston T-60b with fusion core to find. Right next to the military checkpoint, which you can make out from afar through the loudspeaker announcements.

The highly developed one X-01 power armor We could find it in the very south of the Commonwealth. In the swamp area southeast of Suffolk County Charter School near a downed vertibird.

Tesla armor in the DLC “Automatron”

The Tesla armor is the new power armor in the first DLC “Automatron”. It is a modified version of the T-60 and increases the energy damage you deal to enemies. This increases with each additional piece of Tesla armor. If you prefer to fight with energy weapons, this power armor is the perfect choice for you.

You can find the Tesla Armor during the Bounty Hunt quest in the DLC. To do this, proceed as follows:

After you have fought against Ahab and found Jezebel, you should leave the factory. But don't take the same way you came in. You will then meet Ivey, who will attack you with lightning bullets in her Tesla armor. Kill her and you can take the parts of the Tesla armor from her.

X-01 Quantum Power Armor in the DLC “Nuka World”

With the DLC “Nuka World” you can find a new improved version of the X-01 power armor in the game. This is the X-01 Quantum, which can be found in the Galactic Zone in Star Control. There it is displayed under a dome for everyone to see. To get your hands on it, all you have to do now is find the various Star Cores and place them in the console behind it to raise the dome.

Locations of additional fusion cores
