Large independent studios come together under the Triple-i Initiative banner, with a conference on April 10

For big indie, or almost indie, games

There The Triple-i Initiative will be an event to follow on April 10 at 6 p.m., with 45 minutes of announcements and trailers to discover. We are promised zero advertising, no downtime, but more than 30 games to go through this program. Berenger Dupre, marketing manager at Evil Empire, who will be present for the showcase, explains why this project was born:

We felt the need to highlight independent games that are very different, but which have one thing in common: they resonate with millions of players around the world. Since using letters seems to be the trend in the industry, we thought adding a few i's to the word indie was a fair way to describe this new format. Plus, triple-i sounds good. »

During this conference, many studios are expected. A list was also shared and relayed by Gematsu :

You may have noticed, some names are curious to say the least in this list. We think for example of A44, Gearbox of Focus which are still quite far from the definition that we can have of an independent studio. We return to the famous debate around Dave the Diverwith the conclusion that the term independent has today become a designation that is more about marketing than anything else.

In any case, we will be there to discover this showcase which promises to be very interesting, taking into account all the studios participating in it.
