Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 finally made official, the medieval RPG promises to be epic! | Xbox

After several days of teasing, here we are finally! Warhorse Studios has just made official the highly anticipated Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, a sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance released in 2018. This new opus takes us back to the heart of the 15th century, in a Bohemia ravaged by civil war.

Henry de Skalitz is back in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2

This first trailer highlights several characters already seen in the first game, including Henry de Skalitz, who will still be the protagonist. He is about an ordinary man who began to accomplish extraordinary things after being caught up in a thrilling story of revenge, betrayal and discovery.

In this epic journey “from the humble forge to the court of kings”, players will have the opportunity to discover bustling streets or even lush forests in this open-world medieval RPG.

If Henry's quest will still be experienced in first person view for total immersion, the story will also include more than 5 hours of cutscenes to fully experience Henry's quest against the King of Hungary, Sigismund the Red Fox, and his formidable allies.

The Ultimate Medieval Adventure RPG Experience

If the first opus managed to sell more than 5 million copies and attract so many players, it was notably thanks to its advanced mechanics. In Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, Henry's actions will determine his fate, but also how the world will react to him.

The game will offer players the freedom to customize the protagonist's appearance, but also their skills and equipment. A great range of unique events will once again be included, such as blacksmithing and archery. Warhorse Studios insists the mode will remember Henry's actions.

All of these RGP systems will flourish perfectly in this authentic representation of 15th century Bohemia. The protagonist can get lost in a sprawling city, chat with peasants and nobles, explore a vast countryside with taverns, baths, castles and much more.

Finally, one of the elements that forged the identity of the first opus was clearly its fights. The first-person combat is still intended to be visceral, but the studio has unfortunately not yet taken the time to detail it. The trailer, however, provides an overview of two new types of weapons: firearms and crossbows.

On foot, on horseback or in stealth, the title will offer the opportunity to specialize in mastering elegant swords, brutal blunt weapons or deadly ranged attacks.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will be available in 2024 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
