Impressive numbers for Dragon's Dogma 2 and Resident Evil 4 Remake

Capcom has presented impressive financial figures and makes it clear that focusing on a few core brands can pay off.

Capcom has reported financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2024 published. Updated sales figures for some of the biggest games were given.

One of the topics is “Resident Evil 4 Remake”. Here the publisher refers to 7.026 million sales. This gives us a precise number, after there was already talk of “more than seven million” sales in mid-March 2024.

Total sales of the series have increased to 157 million. As of December 31, 2023, 154 million copies have been sold. The games in the series continue to sell well. And the next title is already on its way:



What about Dragon's Dogma 2?

Along with the recent successes of “Resident Evil,” Capcom announced that “Dragon's Dogma 2” By the end of March 2024, 2.62 million copies had already been sold.

Interestingly, the game's popularity also helped boost sales of “Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.” The predecessor found almost 1.7 million buyers in the period evaluated. Total sales are 7.52 million.

“Street Fighter 6,” which debuted in June, has sold 3.3 million copies. 15 titles each achieved sales of more than one million in the financial year. The “Monster Hunter” franchise exceeded the 100 million mark.

The latest results are impressive.

Capcom also announced that it had set a new earnings record for the seventh consecutive year.

  • Net sales were approximately $977 million, up 21 percent.
  • Operating income was $366 million, an increase of 12.3 percent.
  • Net income (for the parent company's owners) climbed to $278 million, up 18.1 percent.

Capcom is currently focused on completing “Monster Hunter Wilds”. The monster hunt took place in December 2023 announced with a trailer for consoles and PC. There is no release date yet.
