Even though it will take two more years until the presumed release, more and more information is accumulating about the upcoming title. However, much of this is not secured as it is mostly leaked information. That came last rumor indicates that the main character of the game will be female. Her name could be “Elsa.”

Assassin's Creed Hexe is supposed to be the darkest title in the series

It was previously announced that “Assassin's Creed Hexe” would follow a different concept than previous games. Executive producer Marc-Alexis Côté had one interview emphasizes that they don't want to pursue the approach of either an open world or an action role-playing game.

On April 15, creator “BunnyTheVillain” dropped an interesting one X post consequences. In it she claims to have personal contact with one of the developers behind “Assassin's Creed Hexe”. When asked for a note about the game, he commented on the style.

Accordingly, the unnamed developer allegedly advised that people who get scared easily should not play “Witch”.

“It's a completely different game than the rest of the series. And if you get scared easily, never even think about playing this game,” the alleged quote reads.

This statement can certainly be understood as a reference to possible horror elements. With a title like “Witch” and a setting in the Middle Ages or early modern times during the witch hunt, it is quite obvious. And a really scary “Assassin's Creed” would actually be something new.

It is uncertain whether all of the previous information will actually be included in the final game and whether the rumors are even true. As far as the credibility of the post is concerned, it can be said that the author “BunnyTheVillain” is a Ubisoft partner and works in game development herself. It is therefore entirely conceivable that she actually had contact with one of the responsible developers.

Fans will probably only get reliable information from official announcements from Ubisoft. However, it may still be some time before that happens.
