In the last few days there was one technical test for “Hades 2” where interested players could help identify and fix problems. The title will then go into early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Technical test can already be completed

Apparently the test phase for “Hades 2” was quite successful. Because the test will be stopped again during the day. The game will then disappear from players' libraries and will no longer be available for testing.

Anyone who has been invited to the test and wants to take another look at “Hades 2” only has until today, April 29th, to do so. In the technical test, players can try to defeat the game's first boss.

As the developers stated, the early access phase should start “relatively soon” after the technical test. Although no exact release date has been given yet. However, based on the studio's comments, the release could be imminent.

That's what the upcoming sequel is about

“Hades 2” is the direct sequel to “Hades,” which was released in 2020. However, players no longer slip into the shoes of Zagreus, but rather control his younger sister Melinoë through the roguelike. But Melinoë doesn't try to escape the underworld like Zagreus once did. The princess wants to fight her way into the realm of the dead.

Melinoë doesn't just have a whole range of weapons at her disposal. She was also taught by Hecate, who was in the Greek mythology as the goddess of magic, theurgy and necromancy as well as the goddess of crossroads and guardian of the gates between worlds. Thanks to Hecate, the princess of the underworld has magic and is also supported by her relatives from Olympus with their power.
