The big awards ceremony for the German Computer Game Prize 2024 took place yesterday evening after the nominees in the individual categories had previously been announced. At the gala, the best (national) games of the year and the teams from Germany behind them were chosen. The international game of the year was also awarded in another category – and how could it be otherwise: Baldur's Gate III also won this title and can thus further add to its showcase of Game of the Year Awards.
In the Best German Game category, the space epic Everspace 2 from Rockfish Games was honored. The survival horror game Ad Infinitum by Hekate took home the most awards; This won three categories: Best Debut, Best Story and Best Audio Design.
