Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Defeat the boss monster Horror from the Deep

Warning, massive spoilers follow: In the action RPG hit Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Cloud, Aerith and their friends once again face powerful enemies. Some are huge beasts, some are real monsters in other ways. This is one of the bosses you have to face in the PS5 exclusive Horror from the depths. In our guide we give you a few tips on how you can successfully turn off the beast.

The fight against this boss takes place in Chapter 4 of the game and after a few rather easy boss fights, the level of difficulty increases noticeably again.

The horror from the depths lives up to its name

The name of the monster already suggests that this boss completely in his element in the water is. Accordingly, the beast primarily uses water elemental attacks against your party. Among other things, it fires you powerful water jet from its mouth, which knocks Cloud & Co. down when it hits. But the fight is quite tricky for another reason, because the arena is quite small and the boss is quite agile for his size.

Ideally, you go against this “Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth” boss opponent on distance and uses for example Aerith's ranged attacksto gradually reduce the life energy of the horror from the depths. In general, the former flower girl is a character that you can use well for this fight. As a healer, she is also worth her weight in gold, not just for healing a single character, but for the entire group.

Of course you can also go into melee combat, but there is more of a chance that your character trapped in a beach ball and is then immobile for a short period of time. If that happens, you must quickly try to destroy this prison. But be careful: attacks with bullets or your sword have little effect here. Instead, use magic to quickly free the trapped character.

Should you use yours during the fight? Analysis Material By the way, if you use it, you will see that the horror from the depths is also one weakness has. This is lightning elemental attacks! Once you have drained around a third of the boss's life energy, a short cutscene starts. As long as you keep a safe distance and make sure to regularly heal your team members with Aerith, you should ultimately be able to finish off the boss. Of course, remember to take advantage of the Dread from the Deep's lightning elemental weakness if possible. So after a tough test of strength you can win the fight.
