Fallout: Prime series reaches 65 million viewers – season 2 announced

Huge success for Amazon and Bethesda: The Prime series fallout met with an enormous response – season 2 is a done deal.

The series has been running since April 11, 2024 fallout on the streaming service Amazon Prime* available. During this period, the format was streamed by more than 65 million viewers – which, according to the company, makes the series one of the most successful Prime Video productions to date, only beaten by The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Occupied in the target group of 18 to 34 year olds fallout even first place.

The enormous viewing figures and the predominantly euphoric reviews have now ensured that Fallout will go into series: Season 2 is already being planned. There is no date yet.

fallout is based on the role-playing game series of the same name, whose origins go back to 1997. The rights have been owned by Bethesda Softworks since 2004: Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4 have long been among the game classics. In November 2018 is Fallout 76 released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox.

The TV series tells the story of Lucy (Ella Purnell), who lives in an underground luxury bunker – a so-called vault – together with other Americans after a nuclear apocalypse. The search for her father, who was kidnapped during a bloody attack, takes her to the contaminated surface, where she meets, among others, the bounty hunter Ghoul (Walton Goggins) and the ambitious knight candidate Maximus (Aaron Moten) of the 'Brotherhood'.

fallout is produced with noticeable effort and budget and has a top-class cast right down to the supporting roles; Bethesda game designer Todd Howard ensures faithfulness to the work as executive producer.
