Experience the Improved Everspace 2 with the Incursions Update

The Incursions update enriches the depth of the world and story of Everspace 2, adding encounters and combat in the latter part of the narrative campaign. The actions taken by Adam Roslin and his companions weakened the barriers between universes and allowed the Ancients to enter reality from the spatial rift. In the new Incursions events, they are seasoned space pilots who must fend off hordes of enemies while destroying beacons that allow enemies to pass from one dimension to another.

In addition to new Incursions-specific gameplay, Everspace 2 pilots can collect 15 new legendary items, new front, rear and cockpit ship modules, and new reliquary treasures that can be unlocked in the revamped Ancient Rift mode. . Other features have also been added, such as a revamped photo mode, the Pathfinder's ultimate ability “Shadow Strike”, increased legendary item limit per stack, and many other changes. On Xbox and PlayStation consoles, controller button remapping has also been added in response to community requests.

The Incursions update also moves Everspace 2 from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.3. This migration allows the Rockfish Games team to continue development using the latest tools, while enabling features such as Lumen GI on DirectX 12, NVIDIA Reflex latency reduction, Intel XeSS upscaler, upscaler AMD FSR 3.0, and NVIDIA Frame Generation for high-end PC gamers.
