Prime Video's Fallout bomb officially rearmed

Available since April 11 on Prime Video, the Fallout series seems to have taken everything away in its atomic breath. Games regulars and newcomers alike have found a successful adaptation thanks to an excellent casting, an intriguing storyline to follow and masterful staging. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy (Westworld) once again treated us to a very high-level show. The series also completely revived interest in original post-apo games like those published by Bethesda.

Even before the series launched on Prime Video, there were plenty of signs that it wouldn't stop at just one season. In any case, the showrunners already had an idea for a scenario that went beyond that. It's now official: the Fallout series will return for a Season 2! The opposite would have been a great shame, given what the eighth and final episode of the premiere lets us see. We will come back to this in the second part, obviously with some SPOILERS.

What will the series be up to with its second season?

In the final episode of the first season of the Fallout series, we have a last shot of New Vegas. Jonathan Nolan has made no secret of his love for this iconic dystopian city. Everything therefore suggests that Lucy, Maximus and the Ghoul will leave the Wastelands of Los Angeles to explore the Mojave. We are not going to elaborate further on the reasons behind this trip. We leave you the pleasure of discovering it for yourselves, if you haven't already done so. However, the rest of the events may take some time to arrive.

Regardless, this latest success shows that there is an extremely receptive audience for convincing film/series adaptations of games. Hopefully works of the caliber of Arcane, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, The Last of Us and most recently Fallout will serve as a standard for many similar projects to come!
