EA: Sales and profits increased

As part of the current business figures, EA not only confirmed that the company managed to increase both profits and sales generated in the last fiscal year. EA also announced that not all games for the next few months have been announced yet.

The US publisher Electronic Arts also announced this week its business figures to the fiscal year 2023/2024 that ended on March 31, 2024.

The report shows that EA managed to increase both its sales and profits in the past financial year. Revenue generated increased from $7.426 billion to $7.562 billion compared to the same period last year.

Profit increased even more significantly in the 2023/2024 financial year. In the same period last year, this was still at $802 million. In the last fiscal year, however, EA generated profits of $1.273 billion. An increase of 59 percent.

Not all titles for the next few months have been announced yet

In addition to the business figures, EA gave us an outlook on the planned new releases for the 2024/2025 fiscal year (April 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025). After being published at the end of April Tales of Kensera: Zau The next release of “EA Sports F1 24” is on May 31, 2024.

The next two quarters will continue with the sports titles “EA Sports College Football 25”, “EA Sports Madden NFL 25”, “EA Sports FC 25” and “EA Sports NHL 25”.

In the period between January 1st and March 31, 2025, Electronic Arts is also planning to release a title that will be published in collaboration with an undisclosed partner. However, it doesn't stop there. Instead, Electronic Arts still has two unannounced titles in store for the 2024/2025 financial year.

One of the titles is likely to be “Dragon Age: Dreadwolf”. The role-playing game is known to be in summer be officially unveiled. As part of the presentation, EA could also give the new “Dragon Age” a specific date. The second of the unannounced titles will most likely appear on the EA Originals label.

EA has big plans for Battlefield

One of the topics that EA spoke about during the annual report was the shooter series “Battlefield”. According to Andrew Wilson, CEO of Electronic Arts, the largest team to date is currently working on the series. At the same time, Wilson emphasized that the upcoming “Battlefield” projects are making corresponding progress.



“This is the greatest Battlefield team in franchise history. A few weeks ago I visited the teams and I couldn't be more excited about what they showed and what we were able to play,” said Wilson.

Unfortunately, EA's CEO left it open when the official unveiling of the next “Battlefield” title can be expected.
