Do you prefer to watch series on a weekly release schedule or do you want to have all episodes available right from the start? For BenDavid Grabinski, the latter is, in his experience, the wrong choice. He clearly advocates for a longer period of time.
Already binged today?
Grabinski explains in a post on

The series he is referring to is his cartoon Scott Pilgrim takes off. Grabinski was a writer and one of the producers of the Netflix production he signed up for according to his own statements wished for a release of two episodes per week in vain.
For Grabinski There is no advantage to the “binge watch” model. However, he does not explain further what the disadvantages are.

The Fallout series is much more important to the games than I thought! (Without spoilers)
Amazon, Netflix, Disney Plus – who uses which release model?
There is no general answer to this. While on Amazon all Fallout episodes were released on the first day, for example Star Trek: Picard a weekly rhythm was chosen.
The historical drama is currently running on Disney Plus Shogun or even the animated series X-Men '97 in the weekly model.
Netflix, on the other hand, is better known for the “binge watch” model, but also occasionally chooses a hybrid form. Appears something like this the third season of the hit series Bridgerton in two parts, several weeks apart.
You have to decide individually what is better for you as a viewer. If you have all the episodes available immediately upon release, there is of course more freedom in deciding when and how much of a series you watch. If you're disciplined enough, you can definitely watch one episode a week. With a staggered publication, however, there is the advantage for the provider in particular that a series remains in the conversation for weeks and can generate significantly more attention.
Which model do you prefer? For example, would you have preferred to watch the Fallout series weekly? Feel free to write it to us in the comments.
