In Dragon's Dogma 2 you get the mission “A Veil of Gossamer Clouds”. Sven, the queen's son, has found a letter and asks you for help to find out more about it. We'll help you complete “A Veil of Gossamer Clouds” and uncover Disa's secret.
Visit Sven in his chambers
In order to get the letter from Sven, you have to visit him in his rooms. In the following picture we show you in which room in the castle you will find Sven. Speak to him and the side quest begins.

Investigate Disa's unfinished letter
You won't get much information, so you'll have to think for yourself who could tell you something about the letter. First go to Waldhar, which you freed as part of the main quest “The Imprisoned Magistrate”. Since then he has been in the book studio and you can ask him for help with many quests. The book studio is located under the collapsed tower at “The Redeeming Hand” in the poor district.
You find out that Disa is in love with Phaesus, but Waldhar can't tell you anything about the “God whispers”. If you have completed the mission “The Saint of the Poor District”, then you can take the next step Talk to Lady Elena in the dungeon. She will tell you more about Phaesus and send you to Battahl for further research.
Enter research laboratory for forbidden magic
The next step of A Veil of Gossamer Clouds requires you to travel to Bakbattahl. You reach this city as part of the main missions. To find out more about the letter, you have to Enter research laboratory for forbidden magic and the best way to do this is through a secret passage.
Run from Bakbattahl to the palace district and leave the area via the northernmost exit on the map. This is how you get to Bakbattahl Dungeon, where Hugo is also sitting, who you can have locked up there as part of the quest “Away from the wrong path”. Enter the dungeon and walk down the main corridor to the left until you can't go any further and turn into the room on the left. The following pictures show you the paths.

Find love letter from Disa to Phaesus
Follow the long underground passage. You can move around the research laboratory quite freely. So examine all the rooms and especially go to the one that is to the right of the dragon pedestal. You overhear a conversationwhile a video sequence is playing.
Through the conversation you learn about a love letter from Vermund. To find this letter you have to Room “Laboratory – Laboratory 2” enter. Look for the letter on the table in the middle of the room.
Search the other rooms and the depths of the research lab to find a Seeker Medallion and Lazarus Stone Shards. You will also hear about Medusa here.
Complete “A Veil of Gossamer Clouds” and receive a reward
Through the letter you will learn more about the subject “God whispers” and Disa’s plan. Now you can go to Vernworth and find Sven in his chambers. If you talk to him, you have the choice between:
“See for yourself. (Show letter)” “It was a love letter.”
If you want Sven to find out everything about his mother's machinations, then show him the letter and he will see for himself. Sven obviously doesn't like what he learns and plans to stop his mother. After the conversation, the mission “A Veil of Gossamer Clouds” is completed. You will receive the following reward:
