As everyone knows, Akira Toriyama continued to supervise with great attention everything that was done around Dragon Ball Super. After decades of looking after his baby, Toriyama wasn't going to completely hand over the reins, even if his involvement became less and allowed him to work on other projects. Recently, the Dragon Ball Super designer shared the latest correction that Toriyama had submitted to him.

Toriyama, as eternal as the legend of Dragon Ball

On March 1, 2024, the manga world lost one of its greatest icons. Father of Son Goku (Dragon Ball), Arale (Dr. Slump) or even Beelzebub (Sand Land), Akira Toriyama has helped increase the popularity of manga and Japanese culture as much as he has influenced young aspiring cartoonists to create their own works.. Recently, manga and anime enthusiasts were able to discover one of its latest and double adaptations, based on Sand Landnamely a video game and a television series broadcast on Disney+.

It is also as part of the promotion of this video game and serial release that the Dragon Ball networks had published one of the last visuals made by the great master Toriyama. Throughout his life, even if he is considered eternal for many, the mangaka will have worked on several projectslike the series Dragon Quest whose drawings we can still discover in the twelfth episode. One of the last, surely the most important, is obviously Dragon Ball Super which he supervised, leaving the designs to Toyotaro.

Dragon Ball Super artist shares Akira Toriyama's latest fixes

Recently, it was his friend on this latest adaptation who paid tribute, like many others, at his work. If we already told you about it in this article, Toyotaro's gratitude to Akira Toriyama goes much further than that, and we had yet another example of this very special relationship that he had with the father of Dragon Ball.

On the social network X (formerly Twitter), Toyotaro shared on his account the latest drawing on which Akira Toriyama made some corrections. On these sketches, we can see that Toriyama did not hesitate for a second to include two boxes in which we can see more of the character of Piccolo. This is not trivial since it was Akira Toriyama's favorite character, and what hurts the most is this hand sign from the part which, after this tragic death, gives the impression to be intended for us.
