Season 4 in Diablo 4 starts on May 14, 2024 with the “largest content update to date” for the action role-playing game.

- Major affixes: Major Affixes will be available as a new and rare type of affix and can be dropped through Ancestors in World Tier 4. The major affixes yield higher values than those normally present for that affix.
- Completion: Once a player has an item with all the affixes they want, they can use the process to upgrade those affixes to even higher values. Once a player feels their build is complete and they have the best items, they can test themselves in the pit.
- The pit: Players who have maximized their build can challenge this new endgame system and unlock rare crafting materials to complete their gear.
- Hellfloods: Infernal Tide features a variety of new activities this season. Players will now encounter more cultists who summon demons and doomsayers created from people unfortunate enough to be stranded in the flood. Those who manage to survive long enough in the new hellfloods will face off against the Hellspawn, former heroes of Sanctuary who have allied themselves with the demons of Hell. Kill these hellspawn to obtain materials that you can use to perform cursed rituals.
- Cursed Rituals: These are failed cultist rituals that players can activate to attract demons and monsters for an all-out battle. Survive the onslaught of demons and be visited by the Blood Maiden, a brand new Hellsurge miniboss and the ultimate challenge in this new gaming experience.
- Iron Wolves: The Iron Wolves have taken up the fight against Hell and are on the hunt for the Blood Maiden's head. Join them and progress through the Call of the Wolves seasonal activity to earn honor. This honor unlocks access to rewards to help you on your seasonal journey.
