Coal in Poland – shortages of availability and high prices. Janusz Steinhoff comments

The policy that is created at rallies and implemented on the basis of these rally commitments is an extreme irresponsibility – stated Janusz Steinhoff in “One for One”. The former economy minister commented on the words of PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński on coal and referred to the country’s energy situation. – I have such an impression, I make more and more sure that we are returning to the previous system. We already have rationing of energy carriers, he said.

The chairman of the Economic Cabinet of Shadow Business Center Club (BCC), former minister of economy and former deputy prime minister Janusz Steinhoff was asked in “One for One” on TVN24 about Jarosław Kaczyński’s statement on coal. The President of the Law and Justice party argued that “this is a great undertaking” to introduce the right amount of coal to the market and that everyone could buy it. – Only one request: not to worry, that is, if, for example, someone needs 3 tons, then let him buy 1.5 tons. Later, he will have a guarantee that he will buy another 1.5 tons – he advised. – In this way for sure, because I can say it today with certainty, coal will suffice by the end of the heating season – declared Kaczyński.

Steinhoff admitted that “he would have disregarded it if the government had not been guided by the indications of President Kaczynski.” – It was President Kaczyński who said at one of the rallies that coal will be at last year’s price. In addition, the government prepared a remark very quickly, this act turned out to be a total rubbish and was repealed very quickly – he said.
